Tradition Cuvee 3 Years Ed853, Schloss Gobelsburg

Scholss Gobelsburg is one of Austria's finest producers, they make incredible, very long-lived Gruners and Rieslings. This is a beautiful, quirky beast - it's a blend of 80% Grüner Veltliner and 20% Riesling, with 85% of the blend coming from the 2018 vintage, 10% from 2017 and 5% from 2016. So essentially a solera, like you see with Sherry. Incredible weight and complexity here, very creamy with almost a clotted cream character, ripe pears, waxy notes and citrus oils.
