Old Bush Vine Grenache 2023, Vinya Vella

A very special wine from renowned Aussie viticulturist Dr Dylan Wrigg, made with gnarled old bush vines of Grenache in the Barossa Valley, planted on sandy soils. Winemaking is very simple here, fermenting in stainless steel and spending 6 months in old oak. It's not a wine about power, but a wine of purity: crushed raspberries, cherries, ferrous iron, salty crushed rock and potpourri are all at the table here. An amazing example of new wave, elegant Aussie wine.
