Douro Meandro Tinto 2023, Quinta do Vale Meao

Quinta do Vale Meao is Douro Superior's most historic, lauded estate, making awesome quality ports and indeed delicious table wines, often with notable freshness and vibrancy that is quite unusual for the area. This is a classical Douro style red, foot-trodden in large granite lagars as is the classic style and aged in oak. It's aromatic and black fruited with hints of licorice and bay leaf adding lovely complexity.
