Chianti Classico 'Retromarcia' 2022, Monte Bernardi

From one of the finest, and most historic, estates in Tuscany, situated in the hilly, southern-most region of Panzano, an area long acknowledged as one of the Grand Crus of Chianti Classico. They've been certified organic and biodynamic since 2004 and make wines of elegance and purity that are increasingly hard to find in the region. The 'Retromarcia' is a nod to the old school ways of making Chianti - 100% Sangiovese vinified in concrete. Bright crunchy red cherry, dried thyme and rosemary and lovely grainy fine tannins with delicious acidity.
