Cabernet Sauvignon 'Hugh' 2022, Mac Forbes

Mac Forbes makes some of Australia's best 'new wave' wines in Victoria, and we absolutely love this wine. Made as an homage to his father, this is old vine Cabernet Sauvignon with a little Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, picked early as is the Mac Forbes style and matured for 15 months in old oak. It's incredibly lithe and pure, clocking in at a nimble 11.5% alcohol! Beautiful, leafy, crunchy style with the bones to age too.
