Raventós i Blanc is run by Pepe Raventós, who took over his family’s historic estate in Penedes after working with Hubert Lamy in Burgundy, Gaston Chiquet in Champagne and Didier Dagueneau in Pouilly-Fumé. Pretty handy CV! Macabeo, Xarel·lo, Parellada and Malvasia de Sitges (local varieties) make up the blend here, with 18 months on lees. Ridiculous quality and complexity for the money.
